Riversea Lodging

I had the most amazing stay at Riversea Lodge. Was in need a quiet getaway and it did not disappoint! The room cottage was quaint and cozy and the view outside was incredible. I watched a few mainlanders get screeched in, what a time was had by all! I ordered the burger and it was the best burger I have ever had. I like to think of myself as a burger connoisseur. I hardly have words to explain how kind and attentive the staff were. Before heading back to my room, I went out on the picnic table and watched multiple shooting stars pass over head as the warm ocean breeze blew by. I’m not sure I ever felt so present and contented. I cannot wait to go back!

Had a lovely two night stay. Nice clean rooms and very friendly staff. Beautiful location, not touristy but stunning scenery and had great chats with the fisherman guests. If you want to see outpost Newfoundland, this is a great stop. Wishing them all the success, thank you!

If you are looking for a rural Newfoundland experience.. this place is for you!! The options for outdoors activities are endless at the Riversea; from kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, trouting or salmon fishing.. you can literally have it all! There is also a boat launch you can use on the property. There is a river flowing into the ocean on the property and you are able to cast your line and try for a fish about 10 steps from your doorstep! There were a couple of kids fishing there this evening while we enjoyed dinner. The owners Lorraine and Rob are some of the most friendly and hospitable people you will meet. I think there are 15 rooms onsite and they also have a number of RV/tenting sites right on the water as well. There is a restaurant and bar area located on site and the food is amazing .. you will by disappointed by her cooking! I love the extreme island burger, I would definitely recommend!! Plus the drinks are very reasonably priced, which is an added bonus!! Definitely check out this place in Pollards Point if your looking for a weekend away with tons of outdoors activities!

Had a delightful weekend (has always) filled with fond memories made with old fiends and new friends. Awesome beach front property with plenty of gazebos/tables to sit and absorb the beautiful surroundings. Danced my heart off on the dance floor then danced some more. Had myself a delicious burger platter. did some yoga in the morning on the floating dock feeling the breeze and sunlight fill me up with warmth, then went for a dip cool off. Very scenic area for those adventure seekers....Cant say enough good things about the Riversea Motel & Lounge. Cant wait to go back again. :)

Just got back from 3 nights. Very comfortable rooms. New owners. Wifi was up and running across the resort. Fresh install by new owners. Perfect location. Good food. The restaurant/bar far exceeded my expectations. Coffee, tea, stove, plates, cups, mugs, creamer, sugar, kettle, microwave, cutlery all waiting in the room was also a complete surprise. It was more like renting my own personal cabin. New windows..opened up to the ocean side and to the parking lot allowing the nice ocean breeze to sweep through the room while I slept. The staff will bend over backwards to help you in anyway they can. Well worth the 6000km journey I made. My friends and I are for sure going to go again next year.

If you want to go out of the touristic area of Gros Morne Park and still stay in beautiful surroundings- this is the place for you. We spent here two quite days, had nice walks, enjoyed the good WiFi of the lodge, and felt what it is to stay in remote place. Thank you Rob for fantastic hospitality we enjoyed staying in your hotel.

Our stay at the Riversea was excellent. Rob and Lorraine are beautiful people who have put their heart and soul into this motel. We danced and had a laugh in the lounge, explored the trails nearby, floated in the ocean (the back yard) with our paddle boards and were very sad to leave. Can't wait to go back!

Rob and Lorraine are amazing hosts. We met them when we arrived and they were warm, friendly and helpful. The location is so peaceful and beautiful. Our room was so comfortable and beautiful. Their hard work and commitment is reflected in the Riversea. I wish them all the best as they have created a beautiful experience for anyone visiting the White Bay area. You have to go see for yourself!
